So Smash Bros is out in North America and both Ben and I have purchased it. We are sitting and going through the single player mode as I write this. I have placed the game in the friend codes section so you can add your friend code to it as well I hope to start a Wii like to podcast room when we try playing online with friends. If you've got it put your code up, you need people to play with so why not people from the Wii like to podcast community?
We have heard your comments and are trying to put together a tournament of sorts so get the game and start practicing. We'll announce more when we have the info.
Stay tuned and start smashing!
could there be another tournament in 4 months time when i get the game please because nintendo are bullies and take so long to transfer to PAL
Well I got the game about 11:00 today. I still havent gotten a chance to play it. But If I have time later I will try to put up my friend code.
This Rocks! I got it and it is so fun we are trying to unlock snake and sonic. i thought they were there without having to unlock them:(
PIT RULES!!!!!!
I got it at about 11:45
Can you play with random people?
I like Diddy Kong!
From what I saw, yes. We tried it last night around 12:50 but it could not find anyone to play.
Thats what hapened for me. 10 min. ago
We need to get our friend codes entered and get a time setup to brawl. Even if it's a standing time every night or a specific day of the week. We'll have to consider time zones. Maybe we can setup a room every Friday and have start times at the top of the hour regardless of what Time Zone you live. That way everyone knows when to find someone.
Ok, added my son's code and the 5 that were there.
Actually, it would be nice to setup a weekly schedule that says what we as a group are going to play. Even if it's just First Friday of the Month is SSBB, Second Friday is Guitar Hero III, 3rd Friday is Mario Strikers... There would also need to be different start times to accomodate different countries, ages, and work schedules. Even start times every even numbered hour (12, 2, 4, 6,...)
Does anyone have any experience with how other game systems or groups do this?
I dont know how to do it, but I think thats a good idea!

It is a good idea. Although if that is to work, we would need to have some sort of way to convert time zones. I live in EST. It would help if we could all just form a schedule. Like you mentioned, but what if we want a grudge match against someone? We should have a seperate forum topic exclusive to users about game schedules, and when and who we play. It would reduce hassle and organize things a little bit better. I bought SSBB too today, em....yesterday (being 15 minutes ago) at about 1 EST. I haven't tried online yet, but there are so many things to do I might not get to online for a while (especially since I can only play sundays for the next two weeks).
We should wait until Europe gets it to start anything really big (that one is for you Duksandfish) and I need to get used to new Marth too, as well as build some more stages and unlock the rest of the characters.
i have to wait till sunday
I got mine at 12:00 am!
Yes i got mine at 12:00 as well.
Btw about the tournament, we should wait two weeks or more first, because it is going to take a little while to get used to new characters, find you best character, not to mention not everyone will have time to purchase the game within the first week.
