any once else having a lag fest online? random games werent too bad but when ever we try to play friends matches its just lag lag lag

My kids love it so far. The only problem is they really wanted to play Sonic, but we have not unlocked it yet.

My impression of Ike:

Too slow. I thought he would be more marth like. His attacks are slow but he is quick and powerful. Takes a bit of practice to get the hang of. Not a good starter.

My impression of Metaknight:

Quick, almost too quick. Easy to use, hard to finish with. A good starter, but can be very deadly in the hands of an expert.

it may just be me because i was soo obsessed with melee but does anyone else feel like the fighting is less.... I don't know how to fraze it but... solid? does anyone feel like the controls are just a tiny bit less responsive? The game is great, however and i don't really mind, once i got the hang of it its fine. I love meta knight, but everyone else is not really that good. Everyones movement seems weird.
Minor complaints aside, its a really great game. The mission mode is really what melee was missing.

Ps even though meta knight may be the coolest player in the game, his final smash SUCKS!!!

As a noob, I'm having trouble controlling everyone, not just Meta Knight!

Actually, so far I'm loving this game. I've only had about 2 or 3 hours of gameplay so far. Played a bit of subspace (only about 8%) which is helping me a bit with control, but still engaging.

I had quite a bit of trouble logging on to play a random brawl match. Problem was all on Nintendo's end, as everything was good to go on mine. I think their servers had to be stressed. Anyway, once I got on, I had totally lag free play. Actually almost won a match. Couldn't believe it.

So far, its a great game. My only fear is that I'll never get around to finishing No More Heroes. I only have the last ranked boss left....

Ok, we unlocked Sonic. Now if only I could quit turning into a ball and running off the edge.

My only prob with the game so far is that they seem to have dulled some of the characters down. Like Peach and Mario. They gave Mario that really stupid water gun, and Peach's attacks are weaker. She was the one I always played as, but now I don't. Plus her Final Smash is bad. But that is all. I love everything else. I am almost all the way through the SSE. I like all the new characters and stages.

Stage builder is awesome, but I haven't unlocked any new parts for it. I built a few stages that I thought would e fun to play on. Also, the sample stages are horrible. I find them to be useless so I deleted them. If anyone wants a stage built to certain specifications just let me know because I think the stage builder is the cream of the crop when it comes to where to fight.
Also, I saved my screen shots to an SD card, and tried to get them on my computer, but when I opened the SD drive, none of the photo programs I have on my computer could decifer them. They were .bin files. If anyone ha any ideas as to how I could get them on my computer that would be awesome. I think Arvin should even turn it into a wii teach you.

I got a question for everyone "How do you Brawl"

DO you use stock or timed, items/no items/only certain items, are certain characters deemed "overpowered" therefore baned from serious gaming sessions. i know the game is new but im sure those of us that can, have put too much time into it already (and probably those of us that cant as well). =).

the regular buddies of mine through xbox live(while using xbox for voice chat ;)), and myself usually play with 5 guys on stock. ther are arguments about items or not, i personally enjoy them i like the pokemon and assist trophies they add alot of variety and craziness. i usually just hit random maps, although i do not have the discipline of a seasoned brawler and find it extremly difficult to rescue myself when falling, usually due to button smashing. so i prefer maps with more solid ground.

So How do you Brawl?

oh and the timer that cant be stopped makes setting up 4 man games Such a pain, a simple "ready-up" system would of been fine, cant nintendo give us any online power, they must control everything...lol

In reply to dodo jz, Make a stage with a big square shape, and leave only one spot open. That gives you a way to get inside. Then go into the square, and fight. It is sooooo funny to watch as people get to like 300% and just bounce around inside the square instead of flying off the edge. I did this and at one point i had 260% or something and the meta knight i was facing got a final smash on me. I shot around bouncing from wall to wall, until after almost 5 seconds (which is a long time to be bouncing around at high speed from wall to wall, i flew out the hole and died. Any way, just a suggestion for if you get sick of conventional brawling.

I have it, but I havent been playing it that much. I would say Ike and Link are my favroites so far. I am still trying to find time to play it.

I usually play with pit on a stock battle with all items. I'm a serious button smasher on brawl I broke the c stick on my gc (gamecube) controller.
