Do you guys think that the online play will be up to par with other Wii games? Also, i was wondering if Nintendo is still adding characters to Brawl or if their list is set?

rumor has it the game has gone gold, not sure if that has been confirmed yet. so they wont be adding any more but who knows could be one or two they havnt mentioned.

In terms of online content, it will surpass the other wii online games, with downloadable stages and spectator mode, but in terms of smoothness, it all depends on your internet connection. I think they might still have more characters they havent already let us know about, I miss ganondorf, he made a great boss, but if they changed his move set away from captain falcon, that would be nice

apparently they are still adding characters, today, the revealed captain olimar from pikman (not the best idea yet) but it seems as if nintendo still have some more in store for us.

I dont look into the SSBB website that much but I did not know Captin Olimer was going to make a apperiance. I ust wish they had each charecter come in there own way insted of just teleporting into the stadium. That was in the frist SSB series If anybody has not played that.

yeah, i bet they have several other characters that we wont know about until game release...
i think Leon would be a good idea... plus, would be a character that actually *gasp* HAS A GUN! ___________

we should get everyone on this site to email nintendo saying we want megaman on brawl, although i think its too late, so nintendo should open for DLC on brawl, that way they can add new characters.

Man, downloadable content for Brawl would be amazing!!! Even if it is too late to add another character now.....adding more downloadable (fully playable) characters would be a perfect way to keep people interested in the game for a loooong time...

I have nothing against DC but it would be unfair for things as big a chracters to be downloadable. It would be unfair for people who don't have WiiConnect24 and would take up a ton of memory space on the Wii.
BTW, look for the Share update on the Dojo.

hmm your right, but people deal with that all the time with the 360 and not having live so i honestly think if they would do that, they would have to charge wii points, like 100 per character or something.

XBOX games are like that with live, the replay value for many of the online XBOX games has DLC and that ups the value of the replay and enjoyment. Perfect examples of that are GH2 and 3 which have DLC that make it less repetitive that you would expect, although wiichievements would b cool, it would wrong, but thats a different story.

Another example of a game with loads of replay value is (sorry to bring it up) Halo 3...if they keep putting out new maps every couple of months the game will (unfortunately) never die.
As for "wiichievements" I don't see any problem with that, as long as they vary the difficulty and not allow casual gamers to get like 95% of them without even trying. They should make some mega-hard.

considering the variety, the only problem would be integration and difficulty based on point values allowing you to show ppl online how skilled you are as a heads up, which is the only real purpose of them. If you have seen a 360 setup for it, its ver basic like 'do this and get 10 points' or finish this game story and get 100 points' they just have to set the right difficulty.
(it was getting too small)

yes, if they get the difficulty right, then acheivements would be sweet...my only concern is if they can put in acheivements AFTER a game releases? (hopefully)
as for online players viewing acheivements, you should be able to check them while the stage loads as you are playing online
once again, all of this is completely speculation and i really have no clue whether any of this will happen, i just like to wonder what if...

im pretty sure that they've finished adding characters for the roster because its not that far from the japan release date now....as for the online play...i hope they have a nice online playing capability unlike games like DBZ:BT3 and be more smooth and sharp like strikers but i dont know yet.......we'll have to wait for the japanese to post some vids of online play on youtube or something...
