Turn off smash balls?

You can but.......why? It makes things fun!

Go to rules and then change the items that appear so smash balls never come.

I don't mind regular smash balls that fly around, but when a character dies and automatically gets one, thats not fair. Especially when it is random. I could understand if a character is down to one life to get one. But when they still have like 6 lives and all of a sudden they just have one, it sucks.

Sympathy Smash Balls? Is that an unlockable setting? If not, turn off all items in the item select menu, then just turn on smash balls when it says all off. Hope that clears things up if it is unlockable ^_^

Yeah Dodo_JZ, I never get sympathy smash balls either! Must be an unlockable setting!

I haven't seen one either. And I thought they were called "Pity Final Smashes"....?

I don't know what they are called, but I hate them. They are not unlockable. They just seem to happen. I'll start winning and all of a sudden, boom the character I just KOd comes back with a Smash Ball.

i've never gotten one, all my matches are pretty close...

i did see one time in spectator mode though, where a Bowser Self Destructed like 12 times in one match (on purpose) just so he could get one...

What mode do you use when playing? Stock? Is handicap on? I heard somewhere that that was one of the new settings for handicap. If you're winning by too much and they start coming back, increase the difficulty level of the enemies. I've never had that happen when fighting level 9s.

I play stock with no handicap.

i play mostly 3-minute time matches with no handicap either

How many lives do you play with? I think when Smash Balls are on, if you get a certain amount of K.Os in a row, the opponent gets a Smash Ball as sympathy, although I have yet to test that theory.

They should add that feature if it is not already there waiting to be unlocked.
