if we wanted a really competitive tourney, then items are obviously off; hammers and stars are just totally not cool if youre trying to seriously play. but for 4 player tournaments are more generally just for the heck of it, which i enjoy more, items are fun, theyre supposed to be!

It would be an amazing idea, but, if you just want to have a grudge match with someone, you should be able to set the rules on the site, but for the tournament, there should be match countdowns and stuff and we could have people recording the match in spectator mode, and people could make bets. It would turn out pretty well if given enough time and energy.

ya (in response to Dave) it felt really weird getting an email from Arvin. i mean like i have seen him all this time on the show, but actually getting something that he sent was really cool. Like talking to a celebrity. Now would be the time to send an email hoping for a response, now before the show becomes crazy famous and no one will be able to get a hold of arvin or ben...

I usually play all items on low, but I'm cool with really anything. The one thing I do hate is timed battles but I'll still play them if those are the WLTP tourney rules. By the way, if this doesn't fall through it'll be my first real tourney. Just sayin'.

yes it should be a items off stock battle, and set on a stage thats not too interactive, something that is flat.

I think the further you get in the tournament, if it is stock, that you should have less lives, like 1 in the finals, 2 in semis, 3 in quarters etc.

funny you mention that cause i sent them an email the other day,
asking them if they could organize a ssbb tournament 4 all of the people in the wltp comunity!!!
I suggested that they announce it in the podcast and have people sign up 4 it on the website.
Arvin said it sounded like a great idea and he would talk to ben about it...
