I was searching for about a month to gte mywii, but in the end i decided it was worth paying a little bit more (£(yes pounds)245 rather than £180 which is the rrp in england) on amazon.co.uk private marketplace.

i got mine for my Bday, my dad looked all over and then two days b4 my Bday (all of this is last year) he started pushing me for an alternative gift. As it turns out he was trying to fake me out, but he was being too pushy about it and i got suspicious. To push me even more over the edge, on my birthday, he wrapped 'fake' gifts and in the card it said that i had a coupon for a wii and on the bottom it had fine print, i read the fine print and it tells me to go and check a deacons bench in my house, and inside i pull out a box with the words wii on it, it was so awesome. My dad said that he had been looking for months to find it and two days b4 my dirthday, he was passing by and EB games and saw the shipment truck rolling up, he went inside and asked the guy if he had any wiis, the guy checked and handed my dad a wii, at least thats what i heard.

yea on launch day i camped out all day to get it but it got sold out a couple people ahead of me. and then about a week after christmas my dad told me to go get the wal-mart bag in his room, i ran up stairs to go get it and brought it back down and didnt realize it was the wii until i got down stairs.

I camped out for it on launch day too, but not with Arvin. How strange is that?

I got mine about a week after launch. My neighbors dad knew I was looking for one and that I had been saving my cash from May. So when he found some at a Circuit City he tried to buy one for me and one for his son. Unfortunately, CC had a one per customer policy cause it was so popular. So he called his friend to be another customer just so he could get me a Wii... *sniff* what a nice guy...
The best part is that earlier in the year he gave me a DS Lite just because he had an extra one and he knew I wanted it and the Wii but couldn't afford both!

Well the story starts for me on the christmas before last when the wii's were really hard to find. So I called many game stores, and also looked on E-bay (not very much). I waited and called for about 3 months. Game stop still did not have them. So I decided to go on e-bay and look for good deals. After about a week I had found one. So I bought it for about $344 (this included shipping). So I wated about a week and then It arrived. I can just remember the looks on my sisters faces when It came. They were bouncing off the walls because I had got one. So that is where my story ends of mii getting my Wii.

p.s I know what Channaka is. (+ the c is silent) I am not in that Religious group, but I do have some beliefs that are the same.

i searched on ebay for a long time. i almost gave in and spent the extra bucks, but then CRAIGSLIST saved me (do they have craigslist in canada?).

anyways, i got it for retail from someone on craigslist. it was practically brand new. the nunchuck wasn't even unwrapped. the person who sold it to me was about 35 years old and his 60 year old father bought it to exercise. apparently it was hurting his elbow so he wanted to just get rid of it.

Once on e-bay I saw a wii selling for about $10,000,000 in American dollers. This was when I was still looking for my wii.

No it was a regular wii being sold for that price. If it were a wii made out of pure gold then I would understand.

I got mine summer 2007 with my detassling money. Dag, yo. I played nothing but Wii for a MONTH. 2nd greatest month of my life. The first? Starting to pwn with Marth on Melee.

I got mine this last christmas (2007). Nobody around here had them anywhere, but my girlfriend heard that a target about 45 min away was going to get a shipment on Sunday morning. Her and her parents got up at 3:00 am to go and get me one and be back before church. They love me! It was the best Christmas present ever, 'cause I thought I was gonna have to wait to get one. Now my parents want one and they still can't find one anywhere.

I bought mine from craigslist. I bought one for a friend at gamestop (no pre order) and for another friend at walmart.

also at my auction at school is even selling one at the auction.

I payed 50 american dollars extra to get mine online. I was last May. Kind of a drag to have to pay the extra money... but there is no way my parents would let me go urban camping.

Me and my friend went to every store within 30 miles every day. We finally, after two weeks, found one at a Target. We askes a sales person if we could get the Wii in the case. She had to call security to the case before she could open it. Then the security guy had to walk us to my car.

My wife looked all over for one for me this past xmas (2007). She gave me a home made coupon as well as an actual american express gift card to buy one if I found one.

I called 3 Best Buy's the day after x-mas. One had about 30 that they had just put on the floor. It was about an hour away. I hauled ass and got there with about 10 Wii's to spare. Every person in front of me in line had one.

I should have bought more...

Anyway, that drive home was awesome. I had the box on the passenger seat and just kept staring.

I spent about 2 months calling around 7 different stores twice daily for my wii. But by some odd stroke of luck someone put one on layaway(probably someone not planning on getting a wii anyways. Probably wanted to sell it.) and cancelled(crazy)and we went over to zellers and picked it up and got it in time for easter. Hurrah :)
