I had mine for almost 2 years now. I dont play much of it unless I just get board of the wii. Which is rare. My cousins have DS's so I will play with them some on that, but that is the only exception.
Now with the Everybody's Nintendo Channel launched in Japan and coming to worldwide Wii's soon I would defiendly recomend it!
When do you think it will be coming out with the Everybody's Nintendo Channel?
he explained in another topic that the Everybody's Nintendo channel, as im sure you know, will have downloads for your DS from your home console (provided they release it in North America soon) so im guessing nintendo will play off of that as a way to sell even more DS's so Caltus, if you want to buy a DS, you should because nintendo is crude like that and i kinda feel like if you own one system, to really get the most of it you have to have others coughGameCubeandGameboyAdvancecough. And that probably means they are gonna do it with the Wii and DS.

Yes I do know. But im my previous post I should of said When is the Everybody's Nintendo Channel being released to America? Sorry
My favorites in no order:
Elite Beat Agents - Soooo much fun it's silly.
Metroid Hunters - ...see title.
Phoenix Wright series - I only have the third but it's smartly written.
Puzzle Quest - It's out on every other system but I'd rather play it on a portable format rather than while sitting at the tv. *flush*

I am looking at buying a DS and I was wondering, if you have to buy something to hook it up to the internet or to play across the internet?
No. As long as you have a router somewhere nearby that you can hook up to.
Contra 4 and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass are my current favorite games. i want to get Advance Wars: Days of Ruin and especially N+ are two games that I really want to get for it- great little system
Seeing that i started this thread i guess i could follow up, i did get a DS over the holidays, a sleak limited Edition golden zelda DSlite. Ive enjoyed it alot, there is some great homebrew aps, i use DSorganizer daily as my calender. I also picked up Ninja Gaiden DS, Which is done very well, graphics are superb. When i got the system i ofcourse played through Phantom Hourglass, a must have IMO and a great lead in to Ninja Gaiden, very similar controls. FF12 was okay, i never finished but for a FF game it was what i expected. and of course Mario Party =)

How was mario party is it a one person game or only multiplayer?
both but only multiplayer with a DS that is close by, no WiFi, unfortunatly. I liked it for a Mario Party Game
Caltus
Games you should get are: The New Super Mario Bros. & Mario Kart DS
Those are some of the first games I got. Also, I recomend DS-Xtreme or some other flash cart for homebrew games and apps. DS-X is the easiest to use, though.
Where do you get DS homebrew apps?
Check Google. modchipstore.com also
ive had mine for 3 years now, although with a wii, it changes the way i looked at it but its a good time waster. When they get the DS fully connected to the wii with games and stuff it will be good to have, i dont have the cash for any new DS games cuz im saving my money for wii games:( although if your looking for a new system and the wii aint satisfying your interactivity needs, the touch screen and the mic on the DS really help.
