Sonic and the Black Knight is an upcoming title within the Sonic the Hedgehog series, to be released exclusively on Wii as the second entry in the Storybook series, following on from Sonic and the Secret Rings.
Set in the world of King Arthur, the game combines Sonic's trademark speed with a new swordfighting system, making use of the Wii Remote's motion-sensing functionality.[

Plot
A sorceress named Merlina summons Sonic to help free the mystical realm of King Arthur, where King Arthur has been corrupted and is now ruling the realm as the tyrannical Black Knight. Sonic's speed alone will not end The Black Knight's reign, so he must take up the sword in order to break King Arthur's curse and save the kingdom.

Characters
Sonic is the main playable character. While Knuckles, and Shadow are playable characters, they will be optional.[4] It is unknown right now if other characters will be playable. Other non-playable characters include King Arthur (the Black Knight), Merlina, and Calibur. Like Ali Baba and Sinbad in Secret Rings, Sonic's friends will assume Arthurian personas in the game.

your right you can't tell and i LOVE sonic but there hasn't been a good consul one scenic sonic adventure 2 battle , now they basically milk the thing and this game can convince me otherwise i will eat my giant stuffed knuckles

I love Sonic

sonic adventure 2 battle was a great game but it looks like sega might finally get their act back together with sonic unleashed it looks amazing. sonic and the secret rings was ok, sonic the hedgehog was horrible.
But sonic and the black knight sounds great (no footage yet). if you subscribe to nintendo power you should read the article about sonic and the black knight

sonic and the secret rings was, i would rate as about a 5.5

i never played sonic dx

sonic adventure 2 battle was great

showdow was meh at best. this looks like shadow with a sword

i don't think shadow's going to be in it at all. but it might be like sonic and secret rings where there were the other characters in it

DUDE shadow just wasn't a good game. sonic heros was AWSOME
