have nintendo live glue on a hard drive and a few achievments and you fot a timeless console

i think they should make a game system just for hardcore gamers

I personally think the wii should step it up a notch

1. achievements don't matter
2. the control system makes the system
3. GAMERS WILL LOVE IT

alucard, i wish the wii could be more like the ps3 (games: lbp, resistance, ridge racer etc. etc.) but when you have 3 systems and 2 of them are really similar and one is different and creative.

heres my list

cons
1. no halo
2. no hard drive
3. no dvd playback
4. no music playback
5. friend codes

pros.

1. creative games
2. mario and zelda games
3. some added exclusives to certain games (dual shoot in spider man 3, mii free style in guitar hero world tour etc. etc.
4. motion controls
5. small
6. tons of exclusive games
7. internet browser
8. downloadable old games (past generation n 64 super nintendo nes etc. etc.)

oh one more thing alucard, nintendo will never ever make a fully hardcore system like the 360 because nintendo looks out for parents thats why the worst (most t rated) game they have ever made (that i know of) is legend of zelda twilight princess (if anyone has played a worse game than that let me know) bit they are being more like the ps2 by letting really gorey games be aloud on their system (mad world, house of the dead, resident evil, dead rising man hunt etc. etc.) and still releasing the stupid games that don't sell at all and sell really good games.

world of warcraft has taken another victim -_-

achievements dont make the system, but they are a nice bonus, definately adds replay value to games. and how does the control system make the system? GAMES make the system. and all systems have their greats. and your obsessed with halo arent you neder?

but for the most part, i agree with the first post, there are more cons then pros for the wii. kinda sucks, but it is still fun. and thats what gaming is all about. FUN! lol.

I agree with dangled the wii has more cons then pro but is still a fun system for non-gamers, and all kinds of gamers. Neder on the other side Is wrong about the achievements part since ill be getting a xbox 360 at the end of the school year. Achevments make a game up because if you see a good game like call of duty youll be excited for getting it but on top of that there are acheviments which make a good game to a better game. Another reason ill get the xbox is because most of my friends have both a wii and a 360 but with the xbox 360 you can acually use a headset and make parties and all that other stuff so you will never be bored. So all in all i ilke the wii but as I said before it has to step it up.

alright the controls don't make the system (except for the wii where it basically does make the system) but they are a huge part of what does and im not obsessed with halo. i think the wii and 360 are kind of equal but the 360 is better in more ways than it is bad but the wii is good enough that it evens out all the bad things. memory is a problem if you don't want to have to buy the memory cards for it the graphics hardly ever get in the way of the gameplay and as for online most games now you don't have to have friend codes to play online .
