Yeah I have lots of problems with it. I've had 400 pts for almost a year and I need to spend it.(I'm gonna buy another card and buy WiiWare) Do you buy cards or do it with a credit card?

I just use my credit (check) card, much easier than running to the store. I am not charged tax that way. So I can get 2000 for $20.

Wait, you have to buy WiiWare?? I thought you just bought the games like the VC...

Also, on the same topic - what's pretty sweet is that they're saying the company plans to come out with new ones every Monday. I hope they keep that up! That would be really great!

Nah... Wii Points vs. dollars doesn't bother me. There's enough stuff on the shopping channel for me that I don't have a problem with not knowing what to do with left over Wii points.

I don't like using my credit card on-line, so buying Wii points cards at the electronic store and redeeming them on the system is preferred anyway.

Anyone stuck with Wii points and don't know what to do with them, let me know. I'll give you my Wii-ID and a list of VC games you can "gift" to me. ;o)

It's not really a problem for me, though. I had 400 pts left over. 2000 + 400 = 2400 Three 800 pt games make 2400 total. The only problem is finding three 800 pt games that I really want.

judland, the issue is that Nintendo has had $2 of my money and all I have is 200 points that I must add to; to make an additional purchase.
If you were to go to the store and buy something for $27 and you gave the cashier 3 $10 dollar bills instead of giving you $3 change they gave you store credit. Now, you can only use this at that store for certain category of items which start at $5.

Wouldn't you rather have that $3 in your wallet that you could use anywhere?

in europe we can register our games for stars on clubnintendo.com, and then trade those stars for wii points =P

each game is worth 250 stars and the wii console itself is worth 1000.
400 stars can be exchanged for 100 points.
Though strangely, wii sports was also worth 1000 points

I am jealous, I wish we had Club Nintendo. I really want to get the Super Fanticom (SNES) controller that was avaliable in Japan.

I'll bet if tons of people email nintendo US, then we could get them to think about adding that for the US.

I understand the point you're making, Scott. I can also understand why some people might not like points system.

But, having left over Wii-points in my account just isn't a big deal for me because I know I'll be using them sometime down the road. So, as far as I'm concerned, the Wii-point system is just fine.
