wow, that is funny. it's exactly like playstation. new slim has 120GB hard drive, for 299, and the elite has 120GB for 299. Original PS3 is discontinued, but still sold untill out of stock, and pro is discontinued, but still sold till out of stock. I'd like to see if Wii drops any time soon because you can get the other 2 for the same price...

in most areas wii is still sold out, but due to sales i predict a $199 price tag soon

This has been a rumor since a few months before the PS3 price cut and the slim announcement, it will be interesting to see how the consoles compare in sales, being the same price. I would expect to see a lot of new content and games/announcements from both companies to try to get on top.

There is also a rumor that a 360 with a 250 GB HDD, Forza 3, and 2 wireless controllers will be hitting stores for $397.

Really steve. where I live people overstocked on wiis not seeing the lull. The wii will most likely not be price cut because it is still the cheapest next gen console and I am pretty sure that every kid parent and grampa that wants to exercise or play games has one

made $60 some old guy bought like 10 games for his grandkids, and splinter cell for himself, i was like, thanks, i happily shoved the moeny in my pocket

although lots of people have one I think its not worth the price tag. the wii is 250 and the 360 ELITE (emphases on elite) is 299 only a 50 dollar difference. If it was me i would invest 50 dollors more to buy a elite and if I cant i would buy a normal one for 250, the same price of the wii. I not picking sides in the console wars. I am just pointing out that the wii needs a price drop.

yeah, a wii price drop is imminent. with the other 2 only 50 bucks more, i dont think the wii will stand much of a chance. and also, you can get a used ps3 or 360 or an older model for 250, so...i think its a no brainer.

nintendo could stomuch a $150 price drop... imagine... $99 dolalr wii??? same price as ps2? that'll sell to peopel who could afford 250
